Description
Aida is based on the libretto of Aida by Antonio Ghislanzoni.

"Have you ever seen the Egyptian pyramids? If not, you will soon do so in this story, which will lead you through the hot desert sands crossed by the Nile. You will discover the love between a brave warrior named Radamès and a kind princess, Aida, whose noble origins are hidden under the garments of a slave.

Amneris, the Pharaoh's daughter, is driven by malice and jealousy and tries to destroy their love. She secretly watches over Radamès in order to keep him from Aida, the woman he has fallen in love with. The origins of the two lovers also contribute to separating them. Aida is Ethiopian while Ramadès is Egyptian, and their people are at war. This story of intrigue, lies and betrayal will lead you to a very moving finale.
The story of Aida is based on an original scenario by the French archaeologist Auguste Mariette. It was then turned into a lyrical opera by the famous Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi. This little book is intended for children in order to help them understand the opera by explaining the story line. The illustrations in the book were done by children, who had fun drawing the scenes and characters.
Have fun reading!"
