EUM aims to promote high quality research, in obedience to international standards of evaluation, and wide dissemination, through inclusion in national and international networks. In particular, all publications of research results are subjected to a peer review process, which guarantees their high level, methodological rigour and originality.
One of the main missions of the university is the dissemination of the results of science, which must be made available to the entire scientific community. In this context, the function of publications becomes clear: they contribute not only to disseminating the results of research, but also to building a serious cultural and scientific debate in the various fields and sectors, a fundamental starting point for the advancement of knowledge itself.
The broader the sharing and dissemination of research processes and results, the stronger the drive for scientific progress and the development of a society's culture and critical sense. For this reason, the University of Macerata intends to pursue the goal of Open Science and, in its publications, of Open Access, according to a policy that is as broad as possible, which at the same time guarantees the subsequent use of the works in the same direction of openness and sharing, free and gratis.
