Giuseppe Vannicola (1876-1915) belongs to those intellectuals of the early 20th century that managed to go beyond the local dimension to establish themselves at the national and European level, in the name of a cultural eclecticism typical of Italy after its unification. This book describes “the works and days” of a restless author who experimented with various creative approaches and collaborated with prestigious journals. His works and editorial initiatives are strictly linked to his difficult and troubled biography, that ended mysteriously on the cliffs of the island of Capri.
