Note sul testo
This book deals with a series of questions concerning the role of caring, gender differences and welfare state patterns and how these are recognized and managed in a changing society and is a collection of specific, in-depth studies with regard to different geographical contexts. The aim is to illustrate the most important models emerging in some European countries concerned with the purpose of enhancing caring and gender policies and making them more visible and effective. The common thread is the connection between the existing gender roles structures and conditions, the labour market, the caring system and family and welfare policies that, to different degrees, regulate these relationships.
