This book analyses the effects of the many initiatives of the e-Health project on the operativeness of health and social-health structures, focusing on the aspects tied to the production of documents, the creation and conservation of archives, and their use in providing care. Starting with the reports presented at the conference on Documents and Digital Archives in Healthcare, which took place at the University of Macerata on 6 November 2015, the book underlines the complexity and the multidimensional impact of the digitalization processes on healthcare and the social dimension. The book offers the reader a study that begins with the introduction of the general guidelines and the plan of action to implement the e-Health project It then goes on to evaluate the impact of this project on e-Health archives. It ends with an in-depth analysis of several specific issues and the presentation of points of view from different sectors.
About Stefano Pigliapoco
Stefano Pigliapoco is a professor of Archival Science, Bibliography and Librarianship) (M-STO/08) at the Department of Humanities at the University of Macerata. He is the director of the first level Master in Education, Management and Conservation of Digital Archives in the Public and Private Spheres. His interests and studies focus mainly on archival science, records management, ERMS systems, digital archiving and conservation.
