The essays collected in this volume have in common the attention they give to literary anthologies, analyzed through topics on Leopardi. In particular, the introductory essay and the first study treat Leopardi's original position in the debate on anthologies and the consequent revision of Leopardi's Crestomazia poetica done by Bruto Fabricatore; the studies of the second part concern the anthological section of the “Canti” from the mid-twentieth century and the possible integration of Leopardi's school texts in the light of the new critical contributions.
